Welcome to Birch Aquarium at Scripps!

As the public outreach center for the renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Birch Aquarium brings guests into the exciting world of cutting edge research. See more than 5,000 fish in 60+ habitats plus a museum featuring cutting edge research from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. Take in spectacular panoramic ocean views, get hands on with interactive activities, see a feeding, and dive deeper into the world under, in, and above the oceans.

Hours of Operation:
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
(Hours are subject to change without notice)

Parking: three-hour courtesy parking is available in the Birch Aquarium lot
